Just to name a few, we provide day-of coordination, set-up & teardown, planning assistance, catering & tableware, decorations, bartending & beverage packages, bridal suites, an outdoor patio (and more!). We offer a variety of wedding, reception, and event packages to suit your needs and budget. All of our packages include the venue, tables & chairs, day-of-coordinator, A/V equipment, private outdoor patio, onsite parking, and set-up & tear-down services.
Wedding Packages
Our wedding packages include your ceremony, reception, a 1-hour rehearsal walk-through, and a room flip (amongst everything else included with the package!). We offer three distinct options so you can choose what works best for you!
Reception Packages
Designed for couples who have their ceremony elsewhere, our two reception packages allow you the flexibility to make your day all about YOU – while having a stunning backdrop of course!

Celebrate Your Moment
Our Rich History
The Martin Event Space boasts a rich history dating back over 130 years. Originally built as a Methodist Church in 1890, it became a vital part of the Martin City community. In 1957, the Ruskin Heights Tornado, one of the worst Kansas City has ever seen, unfortunately hit the church along with nearly every other building and home nearby. While the devastation was great, the church was able to save the lives of 30 people who had sought refuge during the storm. With it being one of the only buildings still intact after the destruction, the church quickly became a beacon of hope to restore Martin City.
In 2015, the building was converted into a beautiful venue, and that’s exactly how The Martin Event Space was born! Through extensive yet mindful renovations, we retained some of the original building materials, including our beautiful wooden arches that run up our walls and meet at the center of our 17-foot vaulted ceilings. Today, The Martin Event Space stands as one of Kansas City’s most historic and chic venues. With the building’s unique history and timeless beauty, it offers an unforgettable setting for any event!
